Mantle Bed & Breakfast
Bed and Breakfast accommodation in
Wellington, Somerset
Mantle B & B is near the centre of Wellington, an attractive town on the Somerset/Devon border. A short distance from the M5 and the A38, it is well-placed for many of the attractions of the heart of Somerset and much of Devon including the Blackdown and Brendon Hills, Exmoor, the Quantocks and the River Exe valley. The area is renowned for its picturesque villages with a wide range of pubs, restaurants and historic buildings and gardens. The West Somerset Steam Railway from Bishops Lydeard (Taunton) to the Bristol Channel coast at Watchet and Minehead is within easy reach.
Wellington itself is known for its specialist shops and local museum and boasts a completely refurbished original independent 1930s cinema. It is a successful competitor as a floral town, winning a gold medal and the Portman Cup under the Britain in Bloom competition in 2007. The Edwardian park is English Heritage Grade II listed and in 2007 was awarded the Green Flag by the Civic Trust.
Although Mantle B & B is near all the shops and other services of the town, it is also only a short journey to the surrounding country and all it offers in terms of walking, natural history and the recreational resources, for example:
